Meet Premier MMA Championship 11 Fighter Albert Barnes

Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday February 9th at the Hits Sports & Entertainment Complex in Covington Kentucky presenting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of the sport including Albert Barnes making his MMA debut inside the Premier MMA Championship cage.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete inside the cage on February 9th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

Here is what Albert Barnes had to say about his upcoming fight February 9th at Premier MMA Championship:

Q- Tell the fans your name?

A – My name is Albert Barnes

Q-Age?

A – 22 years old

Q- Record?

A- 0-0

Q- Your Home Town?

A- Dayton Ohio

Q- What gym do you train with?

A- Lykos MMA 

Q-Favorite Training Partner?

A- My coach Joel 

Q- How long have you been training?

A- MMA 1 year, Boxing 1 year, Wrestling 2 years.

Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?

A- 2 years of wrestling experience small unofficial TKD experience  

Q-When did you make your MMA debut?

A- It will be February 9th 2019 

Q- What made you start competing in MMA?

A- I’m a natural born fighter and this is a legal way to fight as much as I want.

Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on February 9th?

A- Well with defensive wrestling and offensive striking as my strong suits I think I match up well to most fighters right now.  

Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?

A- I’m going to knock him out in the 2nd. 

Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?

A- Because no matter the outcome it’ll be a war, There will be blood, there will be pain and it will be exciting. I’m coming to fight and give it my all not play a game. I don’t train hours every day just to give up when its hard. I don’t stop in practice and I sure as hell won’t stop in the cage.

Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on February 9th, what would that be?

A- You’re in my way.

Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA journey?

A- The first time I truly got rocked hard and I went down, I had this small moment of “do I really want to do this” right before this intense rage engulfed me and my body kept fighting without thought. It was one of the coolest feelings I’ve felt. An was the only time that thought crossed my mind, I will never forget it.  

Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?

A- When Max Holloway started banging it out with Ricardo Lamas at the end of there fight a few years back. I thought It was a really cool thing to see them just brawl in that fashion.

Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?

A- Oddly enough I like playing D&D with my friends, I like how it makes my brain work even though my body is tired. It’s a nice balance for me.

Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?

A- I am a fitness trainer at Title Boxing Club

Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?

A- Imagine Dragons, Disturbed, Godsmack and a lot more, I like a lot of music.

Q-Who is your favorite music group or artist?

A- It changes a lot depending on how much I listen to them but at this moment it would have to be Imagine Dragons. 

Q-What is your favorite movie?

A- I would have to say Troy just because of the memories it brings back with my family every time I watch it.

Q-Who is your favorite actor/actress?

A- I don’t have one.

Q-What’s your favorite color?

A- Blue

Q-What is your “go to” meal after weigh-In’s?

A- Anything and everything my eyes see.

Q-What’s your favorite quote?
