Meet Premier MMA Championship 11 Title Contender Yoko Kowaas

Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday February 9th at the Hits Sports & Entertainment Complex in Covington Kentucky presenting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of the sport including Yoko Kowaas returning to Premier MMA Championship cage in a rematch with Marina Coffman and this time the Premier MMA Championship title will be up for grabs.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete inside the cage on February 9th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

A-Cincinnati, Ohio
 
Q- What gym do you train with?
A-JKD Unlimited Cincinnati 
 
Q-Favorite Training Partner?
A-I love them all
 
Q- How long have you been training?
A-Seven years or so, I lost count.
 
Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?
A-Muay Thai, Kali, Silat, Boxing, and BJJ
Rank: Jeet Kune Do/MMA FTS level 4a, one stripe blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Battlefield Kali single stick level 2 and Brown belt black stripe in Taekwondo 
 
Q-When did you make your MMA debut?
A-August 2015
 
Q- What made you start competing in MMA?
A-I wanted to test myself
 
Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on February 9th?
A-I’m happy to have a matchup
 
Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?
A-Anything can happen in there. I focus on being prepared for anywhere the fight goes.
 
Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?
A-Everyone should come out and support women’s MMA
 
Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on February 9th, what would that be? 
A-Lets do this!
 
Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA journey?
A-The first time I had to cut weight. 
 
Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?
A-Being cage side watching the fights when the UFC came to Cincinnati for Fight Night 40 Brown vs Silva. 
 
Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?
A-Training keeps me pretty busy. Outside of that I spend time with friends, family and my dogs. 
 
Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?
A-I work for an industrial software company
 
Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?
A-My workout playlist is pretty diverse. I’ll put anything on it that gets me motivated. I’ll listen to just about anything. 
 
Q-Who is your favorite music group or artist?
A-Fleetwood Mac, Beyonce, and BTS are just a few of my favorites. 
 
Q-What is your favorite movie?
A-Predator, Jurassic Park, Alien, Jaws and Deep Blue Sea 
 
Q-Who is your favorite actor/actress?
A-Robin Williams
 
Q-What’s your favorite color?
A-Blue
 
Q-What is your “go to” meal after weigh-In’s?
A-I don’t really have a go to meal

A-“It’s the space between the notes that makes the music”
