Meet Premier MMA Championship’s Erin Paige Palmer

 

 

 

Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday November 18th at the Iconic Radisson Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington Kentucky presenting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of MMA, as well as the best unsigned and established veterans in the entire Midwest region.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete live on November 18th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

Q-What is your full name

 

  A- Erin Paige Palmer

 

Q- Age-

A- 28

 

Q- Current Record?

 A- 0-1 (Lost my debut fight by decision)

Q- HomeTown-

A- Rochester NY, Raised in Louisville,KY

 

Q- What Gym do you train with?

A- Jutsu Aiki Martial Arts (JAMA) and Griffin’s Submission Academy (GSA)

 

Q-Favorite Training Partner?

 A- Theron Lewis IV. He’s sparred with me for so many years that I always have to change it up with him. I cant be predictable.

 

Q- How long have you been training?

A- A mixture of traditional martial arts for 8.5 years, added JAMA 4.5 years ago,Filipino Boxing and Calson Gracie Jiu Jitsu for a year.

 

Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?

A- Brown belt in Shorei Goyu Ryu (Black belt test in December)

 

Q- When did you make your MMA debut?

  A- September 17th 2016

 

Q- What made you start competing in MMA?

 A- I was in a bad marriage and started training Shorei Goyu Ryu to defend myself. Turns out I really enjoy martial arts and had a talent for it. It was the best stress and fitness outlet I had ever found and I never looked back. I decided to compete  because I learn the most about myself when I am put into battle, I gain way more than I can ever lose when I test myself.

 

Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on November 18th?

A-  I think we are both tough and durable women, I believe that it’ll be an exciting match.

 

Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?

A- I predict a round 2 TKO in my favor, I know I wont let it go to the judges, We’re finishing our fight!

 

Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?

A-  There is no quit in me, I fight with every fiber of my being and it shows that I absolutely love what I do. I’m fun to watch and I’m constantly evolving. I am a part of everyone I have trained under,sparred with and fought with, I will continue to evolve as a fighter monumentally after each and every fight! You don’t want to miss it!

 

Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on November 18th, what would that be?

A- I have nothing but respect for anyone who will step into the cage. Let’s steal the show fro the guys and may the best, most prepared fighter win.

 

Q- What’s your most memorable moment of your MMA career?

 A-My over 6 hour long Shorei Goyu Ryu Brown belt test. That pushed me past what I thought humans were capable of.

 

Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?

A-This is a hard one, I watch too many highlight and blooper videos

 

Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?

A- Hiking and studying Japanese,adventuring with my son and dogs, dancing.

 

Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?

A- International sales director of ozone generators.

 

Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?

 A- Anything upbeat. Music is my second passion after MMA

 

Q- What’s your favorite quote?

  A- Struggle is nature’s way of strengthening you.

 A-  I’m looking forward to this bout against another tough woman and I can’t wait to show everyone what I’ve been doing with my life for the past year. Who doesn’t want to see two mamma bears go to war?
