Former UFC fighter’s Carlo Prater and Justin Edwards will meet inside the cage on Saturday August 11th in Covington Kentucky at Premier MMA Championship.
Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday August 11th at the Hits Sports & Entertainment Complex in Covington Kentucky featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of the sport, as well as the best unsigned and established veterans from around the globe.
Justin Edwards, a native of Ohio made his professional debut in 2008 first debuted with the UFC on the popular television series The Ultimate Fighter in 2011 as part of the TUF 13 cast on Team Dos Santos coached by former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos, After the season he was signed by the UFC and competed for the promotion until 2016 highlighted by a 45 second submission victory over Josh Neer that earned him Submission of the Night honors, Edwards again found himself featured on The Ultimate Fighter in 2017 as part of Team Garbrandt coached by UFC Champion and fellow Ohio native Cody Garbrandt where he defeated Joe “Big Daddy” Stevenson in the opening round. Justin Edwards had the following to say about his upcoming fight with Carlo Prater,
“I’m very excited to fight for Premier MMA Championship. They have given me a very tough veteran of the sport in Carlo Prater. I think the local fans want and deserve a UFC caliber fight. Now they are going to get one”.
Carlo Prater who lives and trains in Brasilia Brazil will be making his return to the Premier MMA Championship cage after securing a victory for the promotion in 2017, After that victory Prater competed for Legacy Fighting Alliance 32 where he picked up the win against Eric Scallion. Prater, who is just one year older than Edwards is a long time veteran of MMA who made his professional debut in 1998 and boasts impressive wins over notables such as Carlos Condit, Melvin Guillard, Spencer Fisher and Erik Silva first competed for the UFC in 2012. Carlo had the following to say about this upcoming fight with Justin Edwards.

Both Justin Edwards and Carlo Prater are entering the Premier MMA Championship cage on August 11th with their sights set on returning to the UFC in the near future and being victorious over another veteran of the promotion is a step in the right direction that both fighters will be looking to obtain.
