Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday May 27th at the Radisson Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington Kentucky hosting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming talent as well as established veterans in the entire Midwest region. Some of the athletes that will be featured on the May 27th fight card took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

A- Nathan Maness

A-Decaturville, Tennessee
Q- What gym do you train with?
A-Tag Mma of Morganfield, Ky
Q-Favorite Training Partner?
A-I’d say Josh Stanley. We’ve been at this for a long time together.
Q- How long have you been training?
A- I’ve been training a little over 5 years.
Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?
A- I hadn’t done any art before starting my mma training. I’m a white belt as I don’t train much in the gi.
Q-When did you make your MMA debut?
A- I believe I was 19 and it was for the Cancer Knockout in Evansville, Indiana.
Q- What made you start competing in MMA?
A-Watching Georges St. Pierre fight. I wanted to be just like that.
Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on May 27th?
A- I feel like I match up pretty well with everyone at this point. I’ve had a lot of fights over the years and have went up against a variety of styles.
Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?
A- I’m there to win. I’ll let the finish come to me and I’ll take advantage of the opportunity when it does come.
Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?
A-I’ve had some exciting finishes and I’ve been in some wars. I hope to make this one very exciting while it lasts.
Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on May 27th, what would that be?
A- Not a whole lot. I respect everyone who can train hard for months and walk into the cage. Let’s make it a good show.
Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA career?
A-I think it would be as an amateur. I won the Bluegrass Brawl 135 belt on a Friday and then I took a spot in another promotions 155 tournament on two days notice and won it.
Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?
A- I couldn’t point to one moment but I was always excited for gsp’s fights and bj penns.
Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?
A- Basketball was always my first love. Other than that just playing video games and everyday normal stuff.
Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?
A- I was a roofer for 4 years and now I’ve moved on to every other construction out there. Decks, garages, concrete. We do it all.
Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?
A- I like anything rap.
