Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday November 17th at the Hits Sports & Entertainment Complex in Covington Kentucky presenting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of the sport including the MMA debut of Jacob Kordik.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete inside the cage on November 17th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

A-Jacob Kordik

Q- What gym do you train with?
A-Reed Academy
Q-Favorite Training Partner?
A-Jackson Guo, who is also on this card
Q- How long have you been training?
A-7 months
Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?
A-Wrestled in high school and a little bit for the UC club team
Q-When did you make your MMA debut?
A-November 17th
Q- What made you start competing in MMA?
A-I missed the competition I had in high school through all my sports, especially wrestling. I got really into the UFC through listening to Joe Rogan’s podcast. My girlfriend’s mom encouraged me to try it out and helped me get started at Reed Academy.
Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on Nov 17th?
A-I don’t know much about him, but I feel I match up will. From what I know he is a striker, and I am more of a wrestler. I think I can take him to the ground easily
Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?
A-1st or 2nd round submission, most likely rear naked choke
Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?
A-Fans should see me because my game will be interesting to watch. I’ll bring a mix of boxing and wrestling and keep the pace high. On top of that, I’m a good public speaker and I can earn a lot of fans on the mic.
Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on Nov. 17th, what would that be?
A-Let’s put on a show
Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA career?
A-I haven’t had a fight yet
Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?
A-Derrick Lewis knocking out Alexander Volkov at UFC 229 in the last 15 seconds.
Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?
A-Watching sports: Football, basketball and fighting are my favorites.
Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?
A-I am a student at University of Cincinnati studying Biochemistry. I also work a part time job at the UC Rec Center.
Q- Outisde of MMA what is your favorite hobby?
A-Sports
Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?
A-I love country music, but when I’m training, I’ll listen to anything, particularly rap or metal.

A-I am extremely excited to start my career in MMA and I appreciate the opportunity.
