Meet Premier MMA Championship’s Yoko Kowaas

 Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday May 27th at the Radisson Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington Kentucky hosting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming talent as well as established veterans in the entire Midwest region.  For those who cant make the trip to Covington Kentucky you can watch the show LIVE on the FloCombat sports network by signing up HERE.

Some of the athletes that will be featured on the May 27th fight card took a few moments out of their training to give you,the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

Q-Favorite Training Partner?
There’s no way I could pick a favorite.  All my training partners are well rounded and incredibly skilled martial artists. They all work to make sure that I’m prepared for anything. 

Q- How long have you been training?
6 Years

Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?
 Muay Thai, Kali, Silat, Boxing

Rank: Jeet Kune Do/MMA FTS level 2, 3 Stripe white belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,  Brown belt black stripe in Taekwondo
Q-When did you make your MMA debut?
August 8th 2015

Q- What made you start competing in MMA?
I’d been studying martial arts for a few years and I loved it. The more I trained the more I wanted to test myself. When the opportunity to fight presented itself I went for it. 

Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on  May 27th ?
I think it’s a great match up. I’m looking forward to this fight. 

Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?
The fight will end with my hand raised. 

Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?
Everyone should come out and support women’s MMA. 

Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on May 27th, what would that be?

Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA career?
The first time I cut weight. I had never cut weight before so it was an eye opening experience. 

Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?
When the UFC came to Cincinnati in 2014 for Fight Night 40 Brown vs Silva. I was sitting 3rd row and able to see all the action up close. As an MMA fan that was exciting, and the energy in the arena was insane. 

Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?
When I’m not training I like to spend time with the people I love and hang out with my dogs. 

Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?
I’m a Sales Support Specialist for an industrial software company. 

Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?
My workout playlist is pretty diverse. I’ll put anything on my playlist that gets me motivated, but everyone that knows me knows I’m a huge Beyoncé fan.

I want to thank my family for their constant support no matter what I do.
