Meet Premier MMA Championship 7 Fighter Cody Riggs

 

Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday April 14th at the all new Hits Sports & Entertainment Complex in Covington Kentucky presenting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of the sport, as well as the best un-signed and established veterans in the entire Midwest region.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete inside the cage on April 14th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

 

Here is what Cody Riggs, who will be fighting for the Premier MMA Championship Bantamweight title had to say about his upcoming fight:

 

Q- Tell the fans your name?

A- Cody Riggs

Q-Age?

A-25     

 

Q- Record?

A- 4-3 hopefully soon 5-3

Q- Your Home Town?

A-  Grew up in Franklin, went to high school in Springboro, live in West Carrollton, and train in Fairborn so the Dayton area

 

Q- What gym do you train with? 

A- Vision MMA

 

Q-Favorite Training Partner? 

A-Probably Laino because he’s so honest and will call me out if I’m being lazy

 

Q- How long have you been training?

A- 8ish years

 

Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?

A-White belt in BJJ, white belt in TKD, and a white belt in Kyokushin Karate. And I wrestled for about 10 years 

 

Q-When did you make your MMA debut?

A-Back in March of 2011

 

Q- What made you start competing in MMA?

A-Got in a fight in high school and I liked  it

 

Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on April 14th?

A-It’s a good match up for both of us. We both have a lot of experience in and out of the cage. 

 

Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round? 

A-Going all the way I say let’s drag it out

 

Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?

A- I’ll always put on a show no matter what. YOU WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

 

Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on April 14th, what would that be?

A- Good luck I know you’ve been training hard and so have I. This isn’t going to be an easy fight for either of us. I hope after this no matter the outcome we can be respectful as martial artist and men

 

Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA career?

A- Winning my first fight. I’ll never forget the feeling

 

Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a
fan?

A- Watching the last WEC fight with Anthony Pettis vs Benson Henderson. Everyone knows that kick. You know the jump off the cage

 

Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?

A- I like to do nerdy stuff like watch anime and built models.

 

Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?

A- I’m a cook and server. I’ve kind of do a little bit of everything

 

Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?

A- a good mix of up tempo beats.

 

Q-What is your favorite quote?

A-Empty your cup

 

Q-What is your all-time favorite movie?

A-Fight Club

 

Q-Who is your favorite actor/actress?

A-Bruce Lee

 

Q-What is your all-time favorite song?

A-Fukurokouji

 

Q-Who is your favorite music artist?

A-Too hard to decide on just one

A-I want to thank my opponent for the opportunity for this match. I know he’s been training hard and so have I. It won’t be easy for either of us, but I’m prepared to go through hell for this. I hope the same for him. I’ll be leaving everything in the cage on April 14th. I’m going to give everything I have and a little extra if needed. And for the fans this is a fight you won’t want to miss. This is two of the top amateur Bantamweights going to battle.  Hope to see a packed House that night.
