Meet Premier MMA Championship’s Jacob Halsey

 

 

 

Premier MMA Championship is set to take place on Saturday November 18th at the Iconic Radisson Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington Kentucky presenting a night full of live MMA featuring some of the best up and coming future stars of MMA, as well as the best un-signed and established veterans in the entire Midwest region.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete live on November 18th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

A-Jacob Halsey

A-20

Q- Your Home Town?

A-Middletown, OH

 

Q- What gym do you train with?

A-JGMMA

 

Q-Favorite Training Partner?

A-Jake Nickoson, Brenton Petrey, and Sam Benton

 

Q- How long have you been training?

A-Almost 3 years

 

Q-BJJ/TKD/Wrestling experience/Belt Level?

A-Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt

 

Q-When did you make your MMA debut?

A-I will be making my MMA debut on November 18!

 

Q- What made you start competing in MMA?

A-I needed something to compete in after I was done with high school soccer.

 

Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on Nov. 18th?

A-I feel like my training, preparation, skill set, and drive will get my hand raised.

 

Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?

A-I do not like predictions.  All I know is that I am going to go in there and fight my fight.

 

Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?

A-I am a well-rounded martial artist who trains with the best team around.  I will leave it all in the cage.

 

Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on Nov 18th, what would that be?

A-Bring your best and I’m bringing mine.  Let’s give the fans what they came to see.

 

Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA career?

A-Receiving my blue belt.

 

Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?

A-Going to a UFC event in Cincinnati.

 

Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?

A-I enjoy spending time with my family, girlfriend, and friends.  Although I stay busy with school, work, and my internship.

 

Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?

A-I work the front desk and teach kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at JGMMA.  I also work an internship with a local law enforcement agency.

 

Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?

A-Guns n Roses

 

Q- What is your favorite quote?

A-“It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war.”
