For those who can’t make the trip to Covington Kentucky you can watch the show LIVE on the FloCombat sports network by signing up HERE.

Some of the athletes who you will see compete live on August 19th took a few moments out of their training to give you, the fans a little background on who they are and give you their thoughts on their upcoming fight at Premier MMA Championship.

Here is what Alyssa Vasquez had to say:

Q- Tell the fans your name?
A- Alyssa Vasquez

Q-Age?
A-34

Q- Record?
A-7-7

Q- Your Home Town?
A-Phoenix, AZ, but I currently reside in Buffalo, NY.

Q- What gym do you train with?
A- WNY MMA

Q-Favorite Training Partner?
A-All …you learn from everyone in the gym.

Q- How long have you been training?
A-About 8 years, off and on

Q-When did you make your MMA debut?
A- 2009

Q- What made you start competing in MMA?
A- I’ve always loved to fight – even as a kid. It was always about the rush of the fight, and not so much about aggression or anger.

Q- How do you feel like you match up with your opponent on August 19th?
A-I feel like we match up well. We both trained with the same groups of killers, so it’s gonna be interesting. I love to strike, and I hear grappling is her strong suite …so, we’ll see who ends up imposing their will.

Q- How do you predict the fight will end? and in what round?
A- I hate that question. I just know my plan is to win …by any means necessary.

Q- Why should fans come out to see you compete?
A- I have tremendous respect for fans, and appreciate their support – because of that, I always try to make it an exciting fight.

Q- If there was one thing you can say to your opponent about your fight on August 19th, what would that be?
A-Nothing. I don’t care about what she says, so I dont imagine she cares about what I say. Strictly business, but I look forward to shaking a fellow Soldier’s hand after we rock it.

Q- What has been the most memorable moment of your MMA career?
A- Skipping the celebration after my first win, in order to drive all night, so that I could celebrate with my babies …that, and Mark Coleman squeezing my bicep right before he told me “I better see you in the UFC one day.”

Q- What is your favorite MMA moment as a fan?
A-Watching live and in person, as Rose Namajunas pulled off that flying Armbar.

Q- When you’re not at the gym training what is your favorite hobby to keep yourself busy?
A- Being a proud Baseball/Softball Mom …and also destroying my children in rap battling or dancing. I’m pretty much a savage.

Q- Outside of MMA what type of job do you have?
A- If I told you, I’d have to kill you.

Q- When you’re in the gym training, or just working out what artist or music gets you in a zone?
A- Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard …or Sia.

Q- In closing the forum is yours, you have the freedom to say whatever you would like:
A- Thank you for the opportunity to jump back in there, Billy …you’ve always had my back. Also, much gratitude to my manager Jason, as well as every training partner I’ve ever had the honor of sparring, rolling, or all-out fighting with. You’ve all helped contribute to the fighter I am today. Additionally, BR thank you for the gift of right for N7 …even on the worst days, your wrong always pulls me through. Aside from that, I look forward to competing and putting on a good fight for the fans …but, more than anything else, I hope I’ve said just enough in this interview to make my beautiful babies cringe. I love you, kiddos. You hung the moon and cast the stars …and I will forever remain in your debt for this beautiful life that I live.
